I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be streamed live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers engaged in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly going ahead.
